Cuba - the prologue...

As summer officially began in june (despite the weather indicating otherwise), the regular live music scene dried up to allow for festival season to take the entirety of Great Britain by usual enthusiastic storm. As a result of that, and the inevitable end to my official 'student' status, the only gig i managed to catch since The Shins in april, was my rather brief encounter with nu rave wannabes Hadouken on june 14. So, rather than attempting to play catch-up with the gig blogging (which i've failed rather miserably at these past few months), i've decided to blog about my summer travel. And while last year i headed east to every low-budget traveller's paradise, India, this year's destination is mysterious, unpredictable, 'dont-quite-know-what-to-expect', Cuba. And no, my bank balance will not take kindly to this choice....
