i ♥ Ted

months on from my last post, i have managed to score myself the LCF equivalent of a 1st (oh yes, 'pass with distinction' indeed), convince 2 heads of merchandising, a director of buying & merchandising, and a head of buying to let me do work experience at their company, and have (among many many unsuccessful CVs, cover letters and applications) managed to end up with a job!

it all sounds rather impressive when i write it down but in reality it has been a frustrating time, lots of uncertainty, long days working for free and i have missed my life in edinburgh and my independence. i have, at one point or another, doubted every decision i've made in the past 6 years (including uni). i have, however, slowly fallen in love with Ted...

i think that's what Ted Baker does to you though, i'd defy anyone not to fall for the brand, fall for the product and want to be part of that company if given the opportunity.

so naturally, here goes - my current favorite Ted offerings:

no one should live without a leather dress. fact.

HAVEA £299

cutest jersey tee. possibly ever.

GIFOL £39

Ted's daisy chain print might be the on-paper favorite but i'm firmly on Team Plumage.

SARVA £99

it's a cape! it's a duffel coat! it's the most perfect wintercoat i have ever seen! sigh, i want it...

SCHELL £189

hard-cased clutch bag - red option superior!

CHRISIA £69

i think it's time i start saving... :)

new location, new life, new blog

i have relocated away from the beautiful (but cold) scottish capital and have started an exciting and, hopefully, career-advancing PG Cert in london-town so i figured it was time to make this blog about all the great things that life has to offer instead of so much of the crap...

after 2 months, i can safely say coming here was the right decision. i love london (i cant believe how anyone possibly couldn't) but with no job prospects in sight, i worry about my ability to control my, at times, excessive vintage shopping habit… but staying away from those looovely floral dresses, accentuated shoulders (you gotta love the 80s!!), sequinned tops, leather bags and belts, strappy sandals and lace-up pixie boots is just not a realistic option...

so i'm indulging as much as my bank account will let me and i will be posting any weird and wonderful finds and happenings here…
