the catch-up...

i haven't written on here in ages now, dissertation stress and course assigments and life in general has been getting on top of me and i havent had a chance to sit down and write my thought on the music ive managed to catch live in between all the madness. i still want to do it, though, cos it's nice to reflect upon gigs afterwards... there is nothing worse than when they begin to blend into one and you forget which bands and artists you've seen and which ones kicked ass on the night. so therefore, the plan is to have a little something on the long blondes, forward russia, and the rapture posted in the next week or so (before exam stress kicks in!)...

on another note, i am wishing myself back to paris repeatedly at the moment. jamie t played la fleche d'or a few weeks ago and the rakes are playing there in april - why am in scotland? where there are no free music venues where awesome people play and the crowd is brilliantly eccentric and unpretentious?? why??? why???? :( so very frustrating...
